Write a Four-Bar Riff
How to play
Using only the low E and A strings, write a four-bar riff. Start with a rhythm you like, then fit notes to it.
Play it through a few times and adjust anything that feels awkward or forgettable.
Make it something you can play from memory when you are done.
Challenge
Include a repeating motif that appears at least twice, and at least one rest.
Tips
Memorable riffs often use repetition with a small change at the end.
