Connect the Pentatonics
How to play
Play the A minor pentatonic scale in position 1 (fifth fret). Then find position 2 just above it, and notice which notes the two positions share.
Practise sliding from the end of one position into the start of the next on a single string.
Move up through all the positions you know, then come back down.
Challenge
Improvise a phrase that starts in one position and finishes in the next, with the move happening mid-phrase.
Tips
The positions overlap by two notes on each string. Use those shared notes as your bridge.
